  1. 1- Activity: Daddy bags (This could also be used for FatherΓÇÖs Day) (Graphic 1)
  2. Print one bag for each child. Cut and fold bags but do not glue. For the activity, let the children color the tie. Then have teachers help them glue or tape bag together. Put a HersheyΓÇÖs Hug and Kiss in each bag.

  4. 2- Activity: MotherΓÇÖs Day Card (Graphic 2)
  5. Print one card for each child. Cut and punch holes as directed. Let the children color. Put sucker in large hole as shown.

  7. 3- Handout: I am a brother/sister headband (Graphics 3-4)
  8. Print one headband for each child. Color and cut. Tape or staple together to fit childΓÇÖs head.

  10. 4- Lesson Idea: Family Responsibilities (Graphics 5-11)
  11. Print the family bears and the word strips. Color and cut. For the lesson, tape bears on one side of the board and word strips on the other side of the board. Have children match the responsibilities to each family member.

  13. 5- Activity: I Love My Whole Family Chain (Graphics 12-13)
  14. Print chain pieces for each child. Cut apart. Let children glue pieces together to make a chain. You will need to have a blank piece between each family member.

  16. 6- Game: Diaper Bag (Graphic 14)
  17. Copy one page per child. Tell them that one of the responsibilities that children have is to help their parents. Sometimes your mother needs you to help her with the baby. Pass the papers out and ask the children if they can help their mom find the things that she needs in the diaper bag.

  19. 7- Singing Time Idea: MotherΓÇÖs Apron (Graphics 15-16)
  20. Print the mother, her apron and tools. Write songs on back of items. Mothers have a lot to do. LetΓÇÖs help our mother with her chores. Have children come up and take one of the items from mother; tell everyone how they could help their mother with that chore. Sing the song that is written on the back of the item. Continue until motherΓÇÖs apron pockets are empty. Tell the children how nice it is for our mothers when we help her, and that when we help at home we are strengthening our family and obeying the Proclamation to the World.
